19th ICM ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

The abstract must be submitted through the event’s official webpage (19icm.unal.edu.co), in a section that will be enabled for this purpose. Abstracts will be received until April 30th, 2023. All abstracts will be evaluated by an International Scientific Committee. In case corrections are required, the abstracts will need to be modified and resubmitted within the next 7 days after the correction notification. All abstracts will be published along with the event’s program in the proceedings of the congress.

 

Submission guidelines:

All abstracts must be written in English and must be submitted in a Word file (Microsoft Office 97 or above). The text must be written in Arial 10 font, must be justified, and have a single line spacing. The document needs to have a 3 cm margin on every side and must include:

Title: must be short and concise and no longer than 200 characters (including spaces). It must be written in uppercase and in bold text.

Authors: include name and last name, as used in publications. If there is more than one author, names must be separated by a comma and the “&” symbol must be used for the last one. The name of the presenting author must be underlined.

Affiliation: if the authors belong to different institutions, these must be indicated in numerical order. Only include the email address of the presenting author. If the main author of the abstract is a bachelor’s or graduate student, this must be disclosed in the affiliation.

Abstract: must be no longer than 3000 characters, including spaces. It must contain an introduction, objectives, methodology (showing geographic location and time of execution), results, and conclusions; the names of each section must not be included in the abstract text. Do not include figures, tables, or references. Note: the title, authors, and affiliations will not be considered as part of the abstract.

Type: specify your presentation preference, as an oral presentation or as a poster. Oral presentations must have a duration of 15 minutes, with an additional 5 minutes of discussion. The guidelines for the presentation of posters will be published on the 19ICM’s webpage soon.
